Alkaline Recipe: Stuffed Eggplant

Stuffed Eggplant

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 large eggplant (look for those with shallow grooves on the bottom, they have less seeds and are not as bitter)
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 8 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 8 oz. can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • Sea salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and thyme to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéeing

Directions: Soak all produce in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for 10 minutes. Cut eggplant in half lengthwise, remove pulp and set aside, leaving a scooped-shell. Place the eggplant shells cut-side down and cook for about five minutes in a large skillet coated with olive oil. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. With tongs, transfer shells into a baking dish face up. Add more olive oil to skillet and sautée onions and garlic for 2 minutes over medium heat. Add coarsely chopped eggplant pulp and remaining ingredients and cook over medium-high heat until the majority of the moisture evaporates and you are left with a stew-like mixture. Next, stuff the eggplant shells with the mixture, and bake for 15 minutes.

Alkaline Recipe: Cucumber Pear Salad with Lime Rosemary Dressing

Cucumber Pear Salad with Lime Rosemary Dressing

Salad Ingredients:
  • Mixed greens
  • Baby spinach
  • Chopped Romaine lettuce (optional)
  • Diced cucumber
  • 1/4 Green or yellow pear, sliced
  • Diced red onion
Diced avocado
Dressing ingredients:
  • 1/8 cup flaxseed, olive, or grapeseed oil (or other alkaline oil or blend of your choice)
  • Dried rosemary, to taste
  • Lime juice, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Sea salt, to taste
Directions:
Soak all fruit and veggies in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline water for ten minutes. Dry in salad spinner or with paper towels and add to bowl. In a small container, combine salad dressing ingredients and mix. Pour over salad and enjoy!

Alkaline Recipe: Spaghetti Squash Marinara

Spaghetti Squash Marinara

This is a great alkaline alternative to heavy pasta dishes!

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 Spaghetti squash
  • 1/2-3/4 jar Favorite marinara sauce (or make your own)
  • Pepper to taste
  • Basil leaves to garnish

Directions: Soak spaghetti squash and basil in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for ten minutes. Cut 1″ slits in spaghetti squash all the way around. Place squash in a small glass baking dish and either bake in oven for about an hour at 375 degrees F, or microwave for 12 minutes, turning once. Allow to cool and cut in half. Scoop out seeds and discard. Use a fork to scoop out “noodles” onto plates and season with pepper. Heat pasta sauce over stove and pour over “noodles” and garnish with basil. Enjoy!

Alkaline Recipe: Green Giant Juice

Green Giant Juice

Yields approx. 64 oz. (serves 4)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Medium Cucumbers
  • 1/2 Papaya, seeded
  • 1 Large red apple
  • 1 Pear
  • 2 Handfuls baby spinach leaves
  • 2 Kale leaves including stems
  • 8 Mint leaves
  • 1 Round slice pineapple (1 inch thick)
  • 4-5 oz. 9.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water

Directions: Soak all produce in a large bowl of 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for 10 minutes. Add all produce to a juicer and juice, then dilute with fresh Chanson alkaline ionized water. Shake and consume within eight hours.

Alkaline Recipe: Veggie Burrito

Veggie Burrito

A filling and delicious meatless lunch or dinner option.

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 burrito-size tortillas (preferably sprouted or whole grain)
  • 1/2 cup cooked black beans
  • 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
  • Handful chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 Roma tomato, diced
  • 1 Sliced avocado or fresh guacamole
  • 1/8 Red onion, diced
  • Handful fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Handful Monterey Jack cheese (optional)

Directions: Soak all produce in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for 10 minutes. Cook tortilla over open flame for approximately 20 seconds each side. Top with rice, beans, and other ingredients. Wrap and enjoy!

Alkaline Recipe: Roasted Garlic Onion Soup

Roasted Garlic Onion Soup

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 4 Full heads garlic (bulbs not individual cloves)
  • 3 Cups low sodium vegetable broth
  • 1/4 Yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 Avocado, sliced (to garnish)
  • Olive oil
  • 1 TBS fresh lemon juice
  • Onion powder, ground thyme, sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Chop off the top 1/3 of each garlic head carefully, trying to keep the bulbs as intact as possible (leave husk on). Arrange garlic in a baking dish with the exposed parts face up and drizzle them with olive oil. Cover with foil and bake for one hour. Soak onions in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for 10 minutes. Add chopped onions to baking dish with garlic and bake an additional 30 minutes, allow to cool. Squeeze garlic out of husks and discard husks. Add all ingredients except avocado and spices to blender and blend. Transfer to pot and heat approximately five minutes and add spices. Pour in soup bowls and garnish with avocado.

Alkaline Recipe: Lemon Asparagus

Lemon Asparagus

Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1/4 white or yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh lemon juice (about 1/4 lemon)
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt and pepper

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Soak produce in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for 10 minutes. Arrange asparagus in large glass baking dish, and pour toppings on top. Cover dish with aluminum foil. Bake for 30 minutes. You can also try the exact same recipe with green beans instead of asparagus. Both make excellent alkaline side dishes.

Alkaline Recipe: Veggie Faux Hamburger Helper

Veggie Faux Hamburger Helper
A quick and yummy dinner.
Ingredients:
1 package meatless ground (artificial ground beef)
1/2 package taco seasoning
Fresh baby spinach leaves
1 Fresh tomato
1/2 White onion
2 Garlic cloves
Directions: Soak produce in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for 10 minutes. Prepare meatless ground according to directions, and add taco seasoning. Add all but spinach to skillet and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes. Add spinach and cook for 1-2 minutes. Serve on its own or atop brown rice.

Alkaline Recipe: Cabbage Salad

Cabbage Salad
This delicious salad is an easy way to get more alkaline vegetables into your diet and is easy to prepare.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
 
Salad:
1/4 Red cabbage, shredded
1/4 Chopped cucumber
1/4 Green pepper, diced
1/4 Red onion, chopped
1/4 Avocado, chopped
Dressing:
1/2 Lemon, juiced
1/4 cup Chanson 9.5 alkaline water
1/4 cup Olive, grapeseed or flaxseed oil
Onion powder, sea salt, pepper to taste
Directions: Soak produce (with the exception of avocado) in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for 10 minutes. Prepare dressing in small cup. Toss all ingredients together and chill for 30 minutes before serving.

Alkaline Recipe: Eggplant Marinara

Eggplant Marinara

Try this twist on traditional eggplant parmesan as a main dish. By omitting the parmesan and not frying the eggplant before baking, you will have a more alkaline–but just as delicious–meatless dish the whole family will love. You can even make it vegan if you use vegan mozzarella.

Serves 4

Ingredients: 

1 eggplant
2 jars favorite marinara sauce (or make your own)
1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese or vegan mozzarella
1/2 pkg fresh basil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup fresh baby spinach
Olive oil
Pepper, to taste
Sea salt

Directions: Soak vegetables in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water. Slice eggplant, salt on both sides and leave to drain on a wire rack for one hour with aluminum foil and heavy items on top, then dab excess water with paper towels. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the bottom of a 13 inch glass baking dish with one jar of marinara sauce, top with eggplant, drizzle olive oil on each slice. Top with the remaining marinara, garlic, basil, spinach and cheese (may need to do more than one layer depending on size of eggplant). Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with pepper. Allow to cool five minutes before serving.
