“Contrary to popular belief, you are not 75 to 80 percent water. You were once–long ago, when you were a babbling baby fresh from your mother’s watery womb. But now you’re closer to 50 percent water. What happened? Well, you’ve aged, and since those early years, internal and external factors have damaged your cells and weakened their ability to retain water. This explains the signs of aging that probably emerged in your late twenties or (if you were lucky) early thirties: your skin began to become drier, fine lines and wrinkles appeared, sleep patterns changed, your flexibility took a hit, digestion slowed, and your energy wavered. You complain about more aches and pains, need more caffeine to get through your day, and have a tougher timekeeping excess weight off. This didn’t happen overnight, although it may have seemed that way one random day when you “suddenly” noted all these changes in the mirror, on a scale, or in your doctors office.
What’s been going on has been a slow, inevitable decline in your capacity to stay hydrated, which, by the way, has not thing to do with how much water you drink…Hydration has to do with the water your cells can hold on to for good ruse. if you drank a gallon of water a day and I called you dehydrated, would you believe me? Probably not. But it’s true: unless your cells can retain the water they require to support cellular functions, then all the water you drink in the world won’t make much of a difference (and yo’ll need to keep drinking to keep up with your body’s constant cellular water loss).”

THE PROBLEM – Sleep is such a fickle thing, and not getting good sleep is one of the top three issues Americans report having when it comes to their health and wellness (other two are lack of energy and pain) according to my unofficial survey.

You may have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, having vivid or bad dreams, waking up feeling refreshed, etc.

DEHYDRATION – 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. We recommend you drink a minimum of half your body weight in ounces of water daily.

OMG I HAVE TO PEE! Worried about having to get up during the night to urinate frequently after drinking all this water? That issue should go away after about a 2 week adjustment period.

DEHYDRATION DURING SLEEP – Most of us experience dehydration when we sleep, which can cause symptoms in the body such as muscle cramps, and overall restlessness, as the body basically struggles to utilize whatever fluids you have given it throughout the day to do what it needs to do.

So for example, we sweat while we sleep as part of the detoxification process, and if we are already dehydrated the body doesn’t have enough water to sweat out and holds onto the water it does have, creating water weight and a toxic body.

BRAIN – You may be sleeping, but your brain and body still have work to do. One of the first things to become dehydrated is our brain, which then cannot function at optimal level. We believe that when you are hydrated with ionized alkaline water, your brain is able to move you into the stages of sleep with greater ease.

7 Tips to Help You Stay Hydrated

Proper hydration is the key to a healthy body.

Not only does adequate water intake aid in disease prevention, improve appearance, and increase energy levels, but it also benefits things like our mental and physical performance and memory.

Yet studies report that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated!

Your body loses approximately half its weight in ounces daily through normal everyday functions like perspiration, exhalation, urination and deification. Therefore we recommend that you drink a minimum of half of your body weight in ounces daily in order to replace the lost water and to prevent dehydration.

We realize that this can sound like a daunting amount, and you may need to work your way up, but we guarantee your body will thank you for it!

Here are 7 simple tips for increasing your daily water intake and staying hydrated this summer:

1. Switch to ionized alkaline water

Users report that ionized alkaline water (made with a water ionizer) does not leave a bloated or waterlogged feeling. We attribute this to the microclustering claim made by Japanese scientists that ionized alkaline water is able to deeper hydrate your cells. The electric charge in the water (via electrolysis) has also been said to create a healthy craving for the water.

2. Start your day off right

Try drinking 1-2 glasses of water the first thing in the morning when you wake up in order to replace water lost during slumber and get a head start on your daily water intake.

3. Take water wherever you go

How Alkaline Ionized Water May Boost Your Sex Life

Could your kitchen be just as important to your sex life as your bedroom?

According to a British study, many couples run out of steam after having sex because they fail to drink enough water. Doctors have warned that couples who work up a sweat in bed risk dehydration unless they replenish their fluids.

Although nine out of ten people drink water after running or going to the gym, only two out of five people drink water after sex despite the fact that 30 minutes of strenuous sexual activity is as hard on the body as a three-mile run or a good gym workout.

We’ve all heard references to French lovers and how the French have heightened romance and sexuality. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the French have more sex than their British counterparts, but did you know that they also drink five times as much water?

Dr. John Leiper, an expert in fluid balance and hydration at Aberdeen University, says many people are unaware that intercourse can be as dehydrating as other forms of exercise. “Sweating, flushing and panting are all signs that the heart rate is faster, meaning that the body is reacting in the same way to sex as it does to other cardiovascular exercises. As we go about our daily activities we continually lose water, even when we are not visibly sweating, so when we take part in exercise or sexual activity this water loss increases and we need to replace it to prevent dehydration.”

Dehydration contributes to loss of libido, fatigue, headaches and vaginal dryness (which–in addition to decreasing pleasure–adds to tear-inducing friction of condoms). Research indicates that dehydration also decreases the volume of blood plasma, which results in less oxygen being delivered to the exercising muscle and increases breathing and heart rates. Since arousal depends on plenty of blood flow to the sexual organs, dehydration can affect sexual performance. Therefore, it’s important to stay hydrated before and after sex.

Sexual stamina drugs like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are acidifying to the body and have been linked to serious side effects including sudden permanent hearing loss and death by heart attack. Drinking alkaline ionized water instead is a natural alternative because it is the same frequency of the pineal gland (located in the brain) and thus affects all other glands below it and may stimulate sex drive.

According to Dr. Robert O. Young, author of The pH Miracle, “Sexual function and desire are products of the autonomic nervous system, which can be paralyzed by overacidity.” So how do you combat acidity? By hydrating with alkaline ionized water.

1. Sports drinks are acidic and have a positive ORP, while Chanson ionized water is alkaline and negatively charged
