America: Home of the Drugged & Deceived? Part 2: Cancer

Did you know that one in two men and one in three women are now predicted to contract cancer during their lifetime?

It’s a growing epidemic that interestingly enough did not begin to boom until after World War II when processed foods, additives, and pharmaceutical drugs became mainstream.

The Truth About Cancer

We all know that after decades of research, chemotherapy, radiation, and invasive surgery are still the go-to treatments recommended by conventional doctors. Yet, chemotherapy is only effective in 2% of cases, and both chemo and radiation actually poison and weaken the body, contributing to the disease!

Most of the time, even when doctors claim that they have removed all of the cancer cells via surgery, the cancer will appear in another area of the body, because surgery does not remove the root cause of the disease: over acidity in the body.

So why do doctors continue to poison, maim, and kill their patients year after year, when the odds of curing them are so severely stacked against them?

Money.

For every one person who has cancer, there are eight people making money off of them.

A natural cure for cancer exists, and has been known for decades. But there’s no real profit in it, so the cancer industry–yes it is an industry, led by the American Cancer Society–has done everything in their power to conceal this information so that they can continue to benefit on the conventional cancer “treatment” methods.

They have gone so far as to smear the allopaths as snake oil salesmen, prevent American doctors from recommending natural treatments, cause nothing but a drug to be legally allowed to claim to “treat, prevent or cure” a disease, tamper with studies to show false hope for conventional cancer treatments, and even assassinate people who have tried to expose the truth.

But I’m here to tell you the truth, and to arm you with the information that can prevent you from losing yet another friend or family member to cancer.

The Real Cause of Cancer

Cancer is not something that happens to you at random, nor is it truly inherited through genetics. Cancer is a lifestyle disease and a mutation of cells caused by toxicity and deficiency.

We live in an over toxic world and are exposed to more toxins in one day than our ancestors were in a lifetime. Because of this our bodies are constantly struggling to stay in pH balance. In fact, if our blood becomes too acidic we die, and our bodies will actually rob alkaline minerals from our bones, muscles and teeth just to regulate our pH.

The problem is that the Standard American Diet (SAD) is extremely acidic. When we aren’t consuming enough alkaline minerals to offset the acidity in our diet and lifestyles, we become both mineral deficient and over-toxic (over-acid).

This sets us up for all forms of disease including cancer.

Natural Cures for Cancer

Disease cannot thrive in an alkaline environment, so the key to preventing and even reversing cancer naturally is to detoxify and replenish your alkaline mineral supply daily. There are many ways to do this, and here are some suggestions to get started:

#1. Eat more alkaline foods

Alkaline foods tend to be the natural plant-based foods that you inherently know are good for you, while processed, pre-packaged, fast foods and junk foods are acidifying to the body. Start introducing more organic fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds into your diet and try to crowd out the bad with the good. Daily juicing and green smoothies are a great way to increase the amount of fruit and vegetable servings you consume, however stay away from the really sweet fruits. Ideally you will want to be eating 80% alkaline foods and only 20% acidic foods.

#2. Switch to alkaline ionized water

Dr. Keiichi Morishita M.D., author of The Hidden Truth of Cancer says, “Drinking water that has a high alkaline pH, because of its de-acidifying effect, will help in preventing cancer. In Asia, alkaline water is regularly served to patients, and is considered a regular part of treatment.” Proper hydration is extremely important in the body and a great way to flush out toxins. Aim to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of ionized alkaline water from an electric water ionizer daily.

#3. Reduce your exposure to household toxins

Living a green lifestyle is a great way to reduce the amount of toxins in your home. This includes switching your cleaning products and beauty and skin care products, most of which are loaded with toxic chemicals. Ionized acidic water from an electric water ionizer is an all-natural and antibacterial fluid that can replace many of these products including glass cleaner, floor cleaner, all-purpose spray, hand sanitizer, facial toner, mouthwash and much more.

#4. Filter your tap water

Tap water is loaded with cancer-causing chemicals like chlorine, chloramines and fluoride. Even if you aren’t drinking your tap water, a drinking water filter is necessary if you use tap water when cooking. Many of the chemicals in tap water are actually inhaled when you take a shower, flush the toilet, and use the dishwasher or washing machine, so a shower filter and/or whole house filter can also reduce the amount of toxins in your home.

#5. Try natural detoxification methods

There are many detoxification methods that have been proven to be effective against cancer including infra red saunas, coffee enemas, hydrotherapy, colon cleanses, natural clay baths, and fasting, so implementing one or several of these methods can clean out your system and speed your recovery process.

16 Ways to Kick Breast Cancer to the Curb–Naturally!

With breast cancer darkening the doorsteps of 1 in 8 U.S. women, it’s likely that you or a loved one has been or will be affected by this disease during your lifetime. But it doesn’t have to be that way, and chemo, radiation and surgery are not the only answers.

Here are 16 alternative therapies or things you can avoid:

1. Let Food Be Thy Medicine

It’s well documented that vegans and vegetarians have lower instances of cancer, and many have found solace in a raw, alkaline diet rich in green smoothies including Kris Carr, star of Crazy Sexy Cancer. Young, author of The pH Miracle, you can create a disease-resistant body by alkalizing your body, because sickness and disease cannot thrive unless it has an acidic environment to live and grow in.

Nourish your body by eating more alkaline fruits and vegetables, testing out our alkaline recipes, buying at least certain foods organic, and soaking your produce in ionized alkaline water to revive them to their natural state.

2. Drink Up!

6. Filter It!

Prevention Magazine cited filtering your tap water as the #1 way you can prevent cancer. 7. Stress Less

8. Say No to Mammograms

According to Russell L. Blaylock, MD, annual radiological breast exams are estimated to increase the risk of breast cancer by 20% over a 10 year period (most tumors actually take 10 years to detect). In addition to harmful radiation, mammography may also help spread existing cancer cells. Mammography results are sketchy at best: 70-80% of all positive mammograms do not, upon biopsy, show any presence of cancer, while false negatives clock in at 40% among women ages 40-49. Also, the NCI released evidence that mammography could cause 75 cases of breast cancer for every 15 it identifies in women under age 35. Therefore, a monthly self-check for lumps is a safer alternative to mammography.

9. Flush it Out

A routine detox program can benefit anyone looking to flush their body of toxins and get a fresh start. The world-famous Gerson cancer institute reportedly also uses coffee enemas as part of their holistic approach to cancer.

10. Go Bra-less

Studies show that the more hours a day a woman wears a bra, the higher her risk for breast cancer. So whenever possible, hang loose.

11. Give BPA the Boot!

BPA has been linked to increased occurrences of breast cancer. Limit your exposure by purchasing BPA-free plastic containers and water bottles, and reducing the amount of canned foods you consume.

12. Re-evaluate Your Work Habits

Studies show that women who work the night shift as well as women who work from home increase their risk of developing breast cancer. Presumably this is due to the fact that daytime sleep is not as effective as nighttime slumber, and because the average household is actually more toxic than a polluted city street! If you work the night shift try adjusting your work schedule if possible and making every Z count by darkening your bedroom. Those who work from home can try opening windows and investing in an air purifier in addition to suggestions #4 and #5 above.

13. Skip the Flu Shot

All immunizations are acidifying to the body and contain toxic and in many cases carcinogenic chemicals like formaldehyde. Boost your immune system naturally by following steps #1-#3 above instead of flooding your bloodstream with nasty cancer-causing toxins.

14. Work it Out

As you know, exercise essential to health. But strenuous exercise like running or spinning can actually negatively impact your health by flooding your body with acidic chemicals. Try engaging in regular alkaline exercise like walking, jogging, yoga, jumping on a mini-trampoline, and weight-bearing exercises.

15. Sleep it Off

Don’t negate the power of sleep to recharge your batteries. It’s impossible to properly function without enough sleep, and getting in bed before 11 pm has been proven to provide the best results. Aim to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

16. Breast is Best

If you have the option to breastfeed or bottle feed a child, studies show that breastfeeding can actually reduce your risk for breast cancer.

14 Common Health Misconceptions

Here we will debunk several food, drink and lifestyle myths as they relate to overall health. Some information may shock you, but overall we hope that what you learn will inspire you to make changes in your everyday life and diet and better your health.

Top 14 Food, Drink and Lifestyle Misconceptions:

1. Milk is the best source of calcium for your body, particularly your bones

This is probably the most widely believed health myth of all, and we encourage you to share what you are about to read with others. Studies have actually found a link between high dairy consumption and osteoporosis. Why? Because like all animal protein, milk acidifies the body’s pH which in turn triggers a biological correction. The calcium in the milk itself is rendered useless because it combines with phosphorus (also in milk) which blocks the absorption of calcium. Calcium from our bones is used to neutralize the acidifying effect of milk. Once calcium is pulled out of the bones it leaves the body via urine, so the surprising net result is an actual calcium deficit after drinking milk. 2. Meat is the best source of protein, and vegans/vegetarians don’t get enough protein since they don’t eat meat

The truth is, the average American gets approximately 50% more protein than needed or recommended. Unlike certain vitamins that our bodies can store and use at a later time, the body has no means of storing excess protein, and it ends up putting a strain on the liver and the kidneys. Next to water, protein is the main substance in plant and animal cells, with the exception of fat cells. Unlike animal protein, plants can manufacture all amino acids from nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and other chemicals through photosynthesis, while meat only contains some of them. Animal protein production requires more than eight times as much fossil-fuel energy than production of plant protein.

According to Dr. Howard Murad, “There are many benefits to eating vegetable protein food as opposed to animal sources of protein. Vegetable proteins contain no cholesterol or saturated fat and in many cases also provide a good source of dietary fiber.”

3. Bottled water and reverse osmosis water is good for you

The process known as reverse osmosis rids tap water of most nasty toxins, contaminants and bacteria, but it also strips it of valuable minerals, rendering it acidic which actually causes the body to rob itself of minerals to offset the unnatural imbalance. Most bottled waters are just tap water which have been run through a reverse osmosis system and have an acidic pH which means they can actually be dehydrating! Although bottled waters are the lesser evil when it comes to selecting a pre-packaged beverage as they do not contain sweeteners, preservatives and artificial ingredients which would make them even more acidic, the healthiest and most hydrating drink of all is alkaline ionized water.

4. Diet soda is healthier than regular soda

Soda is one of the most acidic things you can consume with an average pH of 2.5. The artificial sweeteners in diet soda have an even worse effect on the body than regular sugar. Aspartame (found in NutraSweet and Equal) is considered neurotoxic, allergenic, and carcicongenic according to Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy. Eliminating all sodas and artificial sweeteners from your household is one of the best things you can do for you and your family. We recommend an all-natural sweetener called Stevia as a healthy alternative.

5. If I was dehydrated, I would know it by extreme thirst

The truth is that 75% of Americans are dehydrated and most don’t even know it! Our thirst mechanism is extremely weak and does not kick in until the body is already dehydrated. Common signs of dehydration include headaches, dry skin, dark urine, dry mouth, fatigue and nausea. Also, when we feel hungry, sometimes we are actually thirsty instead of hungry but for whatever reason our bodies can’t tell the difference. Water plays many essential roles in the body, including digesting food, carrying waste products out of the body, providing a medium in which biochemical reactions such as metabolism occur, sending electrical messages between cells, regulating body temperature and lubricating joints so it’s important to get enough. Try upping your water intake to a minimum of half your weight in ounces (more if you are athletic or highly active), and try drinking a glass of water the next time you feel hungry to see if that takes the edge off.

6. Sports drinks are ideal for athletes and during workouts

The truth is, the leading sports drink has a pH of only 2.95, making it MORE ACIDIC than Red Bull and Diet Coke! When you consume sports drinks, your body leeches alkaline minerals from the body to neutralize them; particularly calcium from bones and magnesium from muscles–two of the most easily and frequently injured areas of an athlete’s body. Thus, drinking sports drinks may actually weaken the body and make it more prone to injury! In addition, the leading sports drink has a positive Oxygen Reduction Potential (ORP) of 318, which means it contains free radicals which actually DESTROY cells!
7. 100% fruit juice drinks and Jamba Juice smoothies are healthy

Even 100% fruit juice has a high, concentrated sugar content which slows fluid absorption, and the acids in the juice may cause stomach upset. Some falsely believe that sugar derived from fruits it is acceptable, however your body doesn’t know the difference and converts sugar into alcohol. Try diluting fruit juice with alkaline ionized water to reduce the sugar intake and offset the acidity and to wean children off of fruit juice.

One Jamba Juice smoothie contains more sugar than the USDA recommends we  consume in an entire day. A “Jamba Light” (their low-cal solution) is made with Splenda (sucralose). Self-reported adverse reactions to Splenda or sucralose collected by the Sucralose Toxicity Information Center include: skin rashes/flushing, panic-like agitation, dizziness and numbness, diarrhea, swelling, muscle aches, headaches, intestinal cramping, bladder issues, and stomach pain and is believed to be a possible migraine trigger. Try making your own fruit smoothies at home with low-sugar fruits and coconut or almond milk for an occasional treat.

8. I don’t have to buy organic produce–I can just wash off the pesticides with tap water

Unfiltered tap water is littered with contaminants, chemicals, toxins, bacteria and even pesticides and antibiotics. Rinsing your produce with unfiltered tap water is like bathing in a muddy puddle–while you may get some of bacteria off, you are more likely to actually pick up extra contaminants. A better solution is to buy organic and soak produce in 9.5 alkaline water for 10 minutes which will not only cleanse the food but enhance the flavor and temporarily give it a negative ORP, which creates antioxidants. The most pesticide-ridden produce that should always be bought organic include peaches, spinach, apples, celery, strawberries, imported nectarines, imported grapes, sweet bell peppers, potatoes, blueberries, lettuce and kale.

9. “No pain, no gain” is the right motto when it comes to exercise

Pain during and after exercise is usually a result of lactic acid production, which is toxic and acidifying to the body and thus counterproductive to health. Rather than pushing the body to exhaustion or inflicting pain on the muscles and joints, you should practice aerobic exercises like walking, jogging or rebounding (jumping on a mini trampoline) or static exercises like yoga, pilates, stretching and pain-free weight-training which are all alkaline-forming. The two most important things to remember are that you need to break a sweat without being so out-of-breath that you can’t carry on a conversation while exercising, and that if you start to feel pain ease up on whatever you are doing (for example, if you are jogging, resume walking until the pain subsides). 10. Everyone should get a flu shot annually

According to Dr. J. Anthony Morris, the former Chief Vaccine Control Officer at the FDA, “There is no evidence that any influenza vaccine, thus far developed, is effective in preventing or mitigating any attack of influenza.” Flu shot ingredients include toxins such as ethylene glycol (a.k.a. antifreeze), formaldehyde, aluminum and thimerosol (a form of mercury). Thimerosol has been banned in all childhood vaccinations in the United States, yet it still remains in the influenza vaccine today. 11. Anyone who thinks their “stuff doesn’t stink” is merely suck up

Pungent, odorous feces and gas are actually symptoms of an acidic body, which is unnatural and unhealthy. The sad truth is that as over-consumers of highly acidic foods like meat, dairy, and carbs, we’ve just learned to live with the stinky consequences and accept them as an unavoidable reality. But, adopting an alkalarian diet of fresh vegetables, fruits and alkaline water creates an internal alkaline environment which is the opposite of acidic, and thus odorless feces! So if someone were to ask us if we thought our stuff didn’t stink, we could proudly reply “Yep!”

12. Once you develop an allergy, there’s no way to get rid of it, you can only control it with antihistamines

According Dr. Robert O. Young, author of The pH Miracle: “Allergies are 100% reversible with an alkaline diet and lifestyle.” Antihistamines are acid-forming and can cause dehydration, but allergies can be treated by increased water intake, because hydrating the body inhibits the excess production and release of histamine. Mucus traps allergens in, and alkaline ionized water (which is more hydrating than regular water and can penetrate cells deeper) helps flush out mucus.

Dr. F. Batmanghelidj states, “This demonstration of water to histamine has been demonstrated in several animal experiments. It is now physiologically apparent that water by itself has very strong antihistaminic properties.” So instead of reaching for an acidifying antihistamine this allergy season, reach for a glass of alkaline ionized water instead.

13. Radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery are the best solutions for cancer

In the book The Hidden Truth of Cancer, Dr. Keiichi Morishita says, “Modern medicine in America treats malignant (cancer) cells as if they were bacteria or viruses. It uses chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery to treat cancer. Yet none of these treatments will help very much, if after all of that, the acidic environment remains. Drinking water that has a high alkaline pH, because of its de-acidifying effect, will help in preventing cancer. In Asia, alkaline water is regularly served to patients, and is considered a regular part of treatment.”

Studies have shown that chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are usually only effective with some of the more rare types of cancer, and that an alkaline diet of fruits and vegetables can have miraculous healing and preventative effects. 14. I could never adopt a vegan, vegetarian or raw food diet because it’s “too hard”

Joe Cross went on 60 day juice fast while driving across America with a juicer in the back of his car and inspired many to try a juice fast in the documentary “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.” Thousands of people have quit eating meat, dairy, animal products and/or the use of heat to prepare their food and never looked back, or sustained their diet for a period of their choosing. Presumably all achieved some variation of positive health results through these even temporary dietary changes.

Here’s a secret–processed foods are designed to make you crave more of them, and when you eliminate them from your diet you will find that you no longer crave them the way you used to! In fact, you will start to crave healthy foods because your body will adapt. The beginning of a diet is always the hardest as your body is thrown into detox mode and has not learned to release those cravings and will initially be confused as to where all the things like sugar have gone and cry out for them. Therefore you should be prepared and motivated, or try to ease into it. Even reducing the amount of animal products, processed foods, sugary drinks and cooked foods you consume has benefits. For example, you could start by replacing soda with alkaline ionized water, cow’s milk with almond milk, and adopting “Meatless Mondays.” You are ultimately in control of your health and if we can do it, so can you.
