The Detoxification Power of Rare Earth Mineral Clay

According to natural health pioneer Charlotte Gerson of the legendary Gerson Institute, disease comes from two things: toxicity & deficiency.

We live in a toxic world. Even those following an alkaline diet and lifestyle are constantly battling a buildup of toxins in their body, so periodic detoxing is a vital step towards ultimate health.

According Perry Arledge, author of Living Clay, Nature’s Own Miracle Cure, “Every cell in our body excretes waste material, which becomes toxic and poisonous to our bodies if it is allowed to build up faster than it can be eliminated or filtered out of the body. The most common symptoms of toxic  buildup within the body are mental dullness, aching-stiff joints, gas and bloat, high acidity, digestive problems with the stomach and colon, acid reflux and fatigue.”

The Detoxification Power of Rare Earth Mineral Clay

Rare earth mineral clay is highly alkaline, has a negative ionic charge, and binds with acidic toxins in the body, effectively escorting them out either through the bowls or the pores depending on the application.

It is effective against many kinds of toxins, poisons and related ailments including radiation, heavy metal poisoning, infections, gangrene, internal parasites, and over acidity in the body. It can also reduce inflammation, which is associated with virtually all aches and pains and many diseases and conditions such as arthritis.

How to Detoxify with Rare Earth Mineral Clay

There are several ways to detoxify with rare earth mineral clay.

By mixing 1-2 teaspoons of rare earth mineral clay with warm water you can drink it daily to cleanse your internal organs. For best results, drink it first thing in the morning. It doesn’t taste great, so most people drink it down as quickly as possible.

Clay baths are also a popular detoxification method that have been used for centuries. In order to prevent any clumps you can try blending 1-2 cups of clay with warm water in a blender, then adding to hot running water. You’ll want to soak anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours.

You can also create a clay pack for pain relief, as Nedalee recommends in the video below. If you have pain in a concentrated area just mix 1-2 tablespoons of clay with water to create a paste and apply to the area, cover with plastic wrap and leave on overnight if possible.

And lastly you can create a clay face mask by mixing 1-2 teaspoons of clay with water to form a paste and slathering on your face. Like any clay mask, this will benefit your skin while also detoxifying you. Leave on for at least five minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Whichever way(s) you choose to use the rare earth mineral clay, you should notice health benefits like pain relief and a reduced toxic load.

Our rare earth mineral clay is hand mined and then milled for purity and is in extremely limited supply. Get yours while supplies last!

6 Tips for Natural Pet Care

Did you know that animals in the wild don’t contract diseases, while domesticated animals are subject to many of the same diseases that we humans are?

This is because household pets are exposed to all of the same toxins and chemicals that we are, and even sometimes eat the same kinds of processed, preservative and pesticide-laden foods that we eat.

Here are 6 tips for natural pet care

You likely want only the best for your furry, feathered, or scaled friends, and there are many ways that you can reduce their exposure to toxins and keep them healthier longer.

#1. Give them ionized alkaline drinking water

Just as with humans, ionized alkaline water from an electric water ionizer deeply hydrates and promotes a mineral-rich alkaline environment in the body. Many waters today including reverse osmosis, distilled, and most bottled waters have been stripped of their alkaline minerals, and when faced with a choice, a dog will always choose a muddy puddle over de-mineralized water because it is never found in nature. As a rule of thumb, the smaller the animal the lower level of alkalinity you want to use. We have testimonials from dog, cat, and bird owners that praise the increased health and energy of their pets on ionized alkaline water versus standard water.

#2. Give them organic food

A quick glance at the ingredient lists on commercial pet foods are alarming. Like most processed and pre-packaged foods, they tend to be heavy on preservatives, artificial colorants, and chemicals. Fortunately, organic alternatives are available. Just as with human food, organic pet food will be free of pesticides and will use meat that wasn’t treated with antibiotics, and will have a higher nutritional value. And did you know that dogs can thrive on a vegetarian diet? Vegetarian dog food is available at most pet stores, however cats need fish and/or meat to survive.

#3. Use All-Natural Cleaners for Cages, Kennels, Terrariums &  Cat Boxes

All commercial cleaners contain toxic chemicals that are especially harmful to small pets when inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Ionized acidic water from an electric water ionizer is a safe, non-toxic, antibacterial liquid that can be used successfully to clean pet cages, kennels, terrariums and cat boxes. It is so safe that you can even spray it directly on the animal without harming them.

#4. Try A Natural Deodorizer For Pet Odors & Fish Tanks

The new Chanson Miracle Sanitizer dispels activated oxygen into air and liquids, safely and effectively sanitizing whatever it is exposed to. It binds with odors and eliminates them, eliminating the need for chemical-packed air fresheners. The Chanson Miracle Sanitizer is especially useful near cat boxes, and can be used to reduce bacteria in fish tanks without removing the fish!

#5. Use Ionized Acidic Water for Grooming

Like human commercial shampoos and conditioners, the pet versions are packed with chemicals and toxins. We have found that spraying and bathing cats and dogs with ionized acidic water from an electric water ionizer improves the shininess and fullness of their coats. It’s anti-bacterial properties removes pet odors as well.

#6. Try Essential Oils for Fleas & Ticks

All-natural essential oils are a great alternative to chemical flea and tick treatments. Cedarwood, lemongrass, cinnamon, and lavender essential oils work on dogs. Cats are more sensitive and require select therapeutic-grade oils heavily diluted with castor oil.

Dangers of Nitrates in Tap Water

There are many potential contaminants in our drinking water today. One you may not have heard much about are nitrates or nitrites, which are nitrogen-oxygen chemical units that combine with various organic and inorganic compounds and may be carcinogenic.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), “The major sources of nitrates in drinking water are runoff from fertilizer use; leaking from septic tanks, sewage; and erosion of natural deposits.” They allow up to 10 mg/L or 10 ppm of nitrates in our drinking water.

The Problem With High Nitrate Levels

High nitrate levels pose the most risk to pregnant women, infants under six months, and adults with reduced stomach acidity.

Nitrate levels have been rising since the 1950s, leveled off in the 80s, and began rising again five years ago. The problem intensified when farmers were forced to plant record-levels of corn, drought-withered corn plants didn’t suck up all the nitrogen from the fertilizer, and then when heavy rains came they washed the fertilizer into rivers with the help of the drainage tiles that have been installed beneath many farms.

Mid-western U.S. states are most at risk for high nitrate levels in their drinking water due to corn farming. These states include Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin and the eastern portions of Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

To keep the nitrate levels within the legal limit, parts of Iowa and Minnesota have been forced to use expensive nitrate-removal systems, and the cost is passed on to their residents.

How to Reduce Nitrates in Your Drinking Water

Unfortunately, boiling water does not remove nitrates, and nitrate levels could potentially spike before you receive word of it from your state.

The best way to protect you and your family from nitrates is with a quality drinking water filtration system.

Chanson offers the Nano Filtration System and the new non-electric Nano2, both of which are high quality modified reverse osmosis systems that reduce nitrates in drinking water by more than 85%. Unlike traditional reverse osmosis systems, both Nano filters leave beneficial alkaline minerals in your water, making it even healthier. Click here for more information or to order.

Say Goodbye to Depression With This Surprisingly Simple Solution

According to the Centers for Disease Control, more than 1 in 10 Americans over the age of 12 are currently using antidepressants to treat depression.

Even more surprising, two-thirds of people who have been diagnosed with severe depression have opted not to take antidepressants, presumably either choosing to suffer in silence, self-medicate with alcohol, or seek a cure through therapy or natural remedies.

Dehydration’s Link to Depression

You have likely heard that depression has been linked to insufficient levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin. What you may not know is that the essential amino acid tryptophan is what is converted to serotonin in the brain, and that dehydration causes a shortage of tryptophan in the body.

According to Web MD, “Of the approximately 40 million brain cells, most are influenced either directly or indirectly by serotonin. This includes brain cells related to mood, sexual desire and function, appetite, sleep, memory and learning, temperature regulation, and some social behavior.”

Studies show that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, and that even 1% dehydration has a negative impact on brain function. Think of your brain as a large sponge which should remain moist for optimal function. When we are dehydrated that sponge of a brain starts to dry out, and electrical signals cannot be sent as effectively. Thus our memory, innovative thinking, and even moods are decreased. Because all medications are acidifying to the body, the continued use of antidepressants can actually exacerbate the problem!

According to Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, M.D., author of Your Body’s Many Cries for Water, “With dehydration, the level of energy generation in the brain is decreased. Many functions of the brain that depend on this type of energy become inefficient. We recognize this inadequacy of function and call it depression.”

How to Use Water to Treat Depression

It sounds like an all-too simple solution, but staying properly hydrated can help many types of depression. Because your body loses approximately half its weight in ounces daily through normal bodily functions, it is recommended that you drink a minimum of that much to replace that which is lost. So a 120 pound person would aim to drink at least 60 ounces of water per day, and more of they live in a hot climate or are very active.

There is no substitute for good clean drinking water, so it’s important not to assume that you can meet your daily water quota with other liquids like soda, coffee, juice, or sports drinks. These beverages as well as most bottled waters are actually acidic on the pH scale, which means that they actually contribute to your body’s level of dehydration!

This is because your body has to pull alkaline minerals from your bones, teeth and muscles in order to neutralize the acids, which puts unnecessary stress on your body. And interestingly enough, stress is the #1 cause of dehydration!

So what type of water should you drink? Ionized alkaline water from a water ionizer is not only alkaline on the pH scale but loaded with antioxidants and bioavailable minerals, and is able to super hydrate up to six times better than standard water. It also doesn’t leave you with a bloated or waterlogged feeling and has an electrical charge that causes you to crave it, so even non-water drinkers will be able to drink more than they ever thought possible without discomfort.

Try increasing your water intake to address your depression symptoms and let us know your results!
