Q is for Quinoa

Quinoa is a seed that is a great replacement for grains like rice. It is gluten-free, has a low glycemic index and is rich in protein, fiber, calcium, iron, vitamin B, manganese and magnesium.

Quinoa promotes health in many ways. It:

  • Acts as an internal cleanser
  • Can promote healing of skin injuries
  • Helps alleviate migraines
  • Improves the energy metabolism within the brain and muscle cells
  • Is packed with antioxidants that fight cancer
  • May reduce type 2 diabetes
