Quinoa is a seed that is a great replacement for grains like rice. It is gluten-free, has a low glycemic index and is rich in protein, fiber, calcium, iron, vitamin B, manganese and magnesium.
Quinoa promotes health in many ways. It:
- Acts as an internal cleanser
- Can promote healing of skin injuries
- Helps alleviate migraines
- Improves the energy metabolism within the brain and muscle cells
- Is packed with antioxidants that fight cancer
- May reduce type 2 diabetes
