Green Machine Smoothie
Serves 1
While parsley may not be your first choice to add to a smoothie, it’s packed with nutrients and this recipe helps to mask the taste. Trust us, we didn’t care for parsley either, but we love the taste of the Green Machine Smoothie.
Fun fact: Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is rumored to dislike parsley so much that she learned how to say “no parsley please” in some six languages!
Ingredients:
- 2 handfuls baby spinach
- 1 handful parsley
- 2 frozen bananas, peeled
- 1 kiwi, peeled
- 1 piece fresh pineapple (1″ thick)
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 2-4 oz. Chanson ionized alkaline water
Directions: Soak spinach and parsley in a bowl of8.0-8.5 pH Chanson ionized alkaline water for 10 minutes. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender (using fresh Chanson water – more for a thinner smoothie, less for a thicker one). Serve.
Tip: To make frozen bananas, peel and chunk into 1-2 inch pieces and place in ice cube trays. Freeze for at least 6 hours. You can put any remaining frozen bananas in a freezer safe bag to keep on hand.
