Alkaline Recipe: Vegetable Soup

Vegetable Soup

Serves 4


One quart vegetable broth – we like Trader Joes Organic Low Sodium Vegetable Broth (or try making your own using equal parts freshly juiced celery, carrot, tomato, and 9.5 Chanson alkaline ionized water)
One diced white onion
Three chopped carrots
Three chopped celery sticks
Handful green beans
Four cubed red potatoes (optional)
Handful fresh baby spinach leaves (optional)
Cayenne pepper, dried basil, sea salt and black pepper to taste


Soak all veggies in 8.0-8.5 pH Chanson alkaline ionized water for ten minutes. Bring all ingredients except spinach and spices to a boil in a large covered pot, and then let simmer for approximately 40 minutes or until veggies soften, stirring occasionally. Add spinach and spices a minute or two before removing from heat. Stir and serve.
