Coffee beans are considered acidic, however preparing them with alkaline ionized water can help offset the acidity. Alkaline ionized water also helps pull out the flavor of coffee more effectively, resulting in a rounder, bolder flavor. You will find that you don’t need to use as many coffee beans or grounds when brewing with alkaline ionized water because of this. Amazingly, you do not even need to heat the water in order to brew it as alkaline ionized water is able to penetrate the beans/grounds deeper than regular water due to its microclustered size.
Iced Coffee Recipe
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup coffee made with alkaline ionized water
1/4 cup unsweetened soy or coconut milk
1/2 cup ice cubes (preferably made with alkaline ionized water)
Light agave nectar to taste
Directions: Brew your favorite coffee with alkaline ionized water. Pour coffee over ice, add soy or coconut milk and agave nectar and stir in large glass. This tastes just as good hot if you omit the ice. Enjoy!
